How to Full Backup on LTO Tape Drive

Full Backup on LTO Tape Drive

Go to the Computer Management for Mounting New Tape Device.

Now Select Media Library and Make Inventory for New Tape.

At Next Screen New Media Appear with specific no. (As shown below)

Go to RUN for NTBACKUP Wizard to create Backup by “ntbackup” command.

From NTBACKUP Wizard Go to Advanced Mode.

Now Select Backup Tab

From Backup Tab, We will be able to see Directory structure on your system & Device (LTO Ultrium: New or Existing) Selection Window.

Please click on “Start Backup” and it will start to take Full Backup of your machine (Full Backup as a default option on NtBackup utility, so by default full backup start automatically when you click on Start Backup Button).

LTO device will have Rewinding your media before preparing your data size.

Now NTbackup prepare to start estimated backup size of your selected backup data.

Then it will start Creating Backup on Tape Drive as shown below image.

After complete backup, it will prompt to close your NtBackup utility
